Mellyrn (Mallorns)
Name of the great trees with golden flowers brought from Tol Eressëa to Eldalondë in Númenor, and afterwards grown in Lothlórien. Quenya malinornë.
The golden trees of Lórien. The famed golden-leaved trees of Lórien, that held their leaves until spring. Though they are commonly called 'mallorns', especially by the Hobbits, the correct Elvish plural is mellyrn.
